Being a teacher mom is exhausting. When the alarm goes off, a million tasks start running through your brain, like minions running on a treadmill.

I used to treat waking up like it was optional; snooze snooze snooze away! I later found out that I was only hurting myself by doing this.
I would wake up more tired than if I had just gotten up after the first alarm. On top of now being more tired, I was rushing around and stressed out… Not a good way to start of what is already guaranteed to be a day of unexpected thrills and spills!
1. Set an right before you go to bed
The last thing your brain sees is an alarm set, so it knows one will go off.
2. Only set 1 alarm
Train your brain to know you have to wake up to this alarm… it is not optional!
3. Try setting your alarm for an earlier time
The current time you have set may not work well with your internal clock and sleep pattern.
4. As soon as you wake up, get up
You are less likely to go back to sleep. Although, I do find it difficult to leave My Pillow. Get 50% off the My Pillow; the worlds most comfortable pillow, that adjusts to any sleep position. Click here http://mommyteachestoo.com/mypillow
5. Say this daily mantra-”coffee is life”.
Just a daily morning reminder for you to keep going! I run on Columbian Supremo Coffee from Volanica Coffee. Check out all of their tasty gourmet flavors at http://mommyteachestoo.com/volcanicacoffee
I am now able to wake up in the morning and start my day the way that I choose. My alarm goes off 1 time at 4 o’clock. I turn it off and get right up out of bed. The first thought in my head is “coffee”, which I am more than happy to go make.
I no longer struggle with snoozing 5 alarms, waking up late, or running around in chaos to get out the door.
It took some time to train myself to wake up this way, and believe me it isn’t easy, but it is worth it. I can’t afford to snooze, because Mommy teaches too!
